JOYFUL HAPPY SOUNDS Addendum
8/28/2018
Hello, Everyone!

To say Happy Birthday to grandson, London, who turns 20 today - and to do it with song.  If you are not into song, at least my kind of song, then hit the ole exit tab; but if you do like song, then stick around and I will share my last six songs with you below.

The reason I am sharing them is that I am in process of adding them as addendums to my book of song I call JOYFUL HAPPY SOUNDS - which I compiled in 2015.  When I finished that one in 2015, I had written 198 songs over the span of a life - and did not expect to do more; but then along came my writing another book called IT'S A NEW DAY.  Well, I had to write a few more songs for that one, didn't I?  It seems there will always be an excuse for me to think I need to write another song.  Anyway, while compiling that one in 2016 and 2017, I wrote six more songs.  A few days ago, I decided I should add them to JOYFUL HAPPY SOUNDS - my own "hymnal," as it were.

Anyway, that is why I am sending you this email today.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LONDON!  I hope you can relate to some of what ole Grampa Bessler has written below; and keep in mind, when you order your next copy of JOYFUL HAPPY SOUNDS, they will be in it - I hope.  I say I "hope" because that project is not yet finished, but by end of September, it should be.  Come October, then, and JOYFUL HAPPY SOUNDS will have been revised to include six new songs.  See them below!  OK?

Hope Everyone is OK and is having a Good One!

Be in touch as you wish!  Bye for now!

Gently,

It's A New Day!

A song (or poem)

by

Francis William Bessler

Written 12/22/2016

Look around and notice what you see -

not what you believed.

It's a new day!

Pay attention to the life that is here

and know that Heaven is not only there.

It's a new way!

The time is now to appreciate

the mystery of life.

There is no better time than now

to embrace what's right.

It's a new day!

Open your heart and eyes

to love the wonder that is you.

It's a new day!

Be aware we're all the same

and in each of us, there is the truth.

It's a new way!

The truth is that

we are all a reflection of The Divine;

and that's exactly why

we should know our lives are fine.

It's a new day!

The world is the same

as it has always been.

There is nothing new -

there has never been any sin.

Our only sin has been

to see life as ill

and then treat ourselves

as part of the deal.

Let's take off the shroud

in which we've been enclosed.

It's a new day!

The Light of God

is in All exposed.

It's a new way!

There is nothing new

under our shining, glorious Sun.

We're all Children of the Light

and knowing that should be our fun.

It's a new day!

FINISH:

Yes, indeed,

let's practice a New Way -

because it is a New Day!

Yes, it is a New Day!

We're All Divine Beings

REFRAIN:

We're all Divine Beings - you and I.

We're all Divine Beings - and that's no lie.

We're all Divine Beings -

and that should be our pride

because within Divinity, we all reside.

Life is a mystery - there is no doubt of that;

but everything's Divine; and that's a simple fact.

There is no place where God can't be;

and that makes us all members of a Divine Family.

Refrain.

There can be no sin - anywhere in life -

unless we create it by living in strife.

Sin is that which we create when we fail to know

that each of us is Divine from head to toe.

Refrain.

Heaven is only living - like everything's Divine,

regardless of temperament, regardless of mind.

Hold your head up high - and with life, have fun.

You're a daughter - or a son - of the Living One.

Refrain.

Look out at life and know it's all the same.

If God's in all, all should be acclaimed.

To treat anything like it's less than you

is to live in arrogance and outside the truth.

Refrain.

The truth is God's Kingdom is Everywhere

and that should make us all want to care

about each other as we pass through life,

knowing that we're all children of the Light.

Refrain (several times).

Wise As A Serpent

And

Innocent As A Dove

A song

by

a "son of light,"

Francis William Bessler

6/16/2017

REFRAIN:

Jesus said: Be (I'm) wise as a serpent -

and innocent as a dove;

and that, my friend, is my key for finding love.

Indeed, we're all the same

from a snake to a bird.

The truth is that all in life has equal worth.

From a creature crawling in the dirt

to a creature flying high above,

all should be (I'm) wise as a serpent

and innocent as a dove.

Be careful where you step.

You may step on a snake

that's minding its own business

by searching for easy prey.

A serpent is wise by knowing that it fits;

and knowing that it fits, it is without sin.

I should be wise as a serpent

by knowing I belong;

and it's in that light,

as a son of light,

that I sing this song.

Refrain

(replacing "Jesus said" with I'm).

But Jesus also said

I should be innocent as a dove.

That means to me I should be harmless -

even to those who shove.

Just be kind to everyone

and kindness I will know -

because the kindness I offer others

will be invested in my soul.

Refrain

(replacing "Jesus said" with I'm).

Yes, Jesus also said

I should be innocent as a dove.

That means to me I should be kind -

even to those who shove.

Just be kind to everyone

and kindness I will know -

because the kindness I offer others

will be invested in my soul.

Refrain

(replacing "Jesus said" with I'm).

FINISH:

Yes, From a creature crawling in the dirt

to a creature flying high above,

all should be wise as a serpent

and innocent as a dove -

wise as a serpent and innocent as a dove,

wise as a serpent and innocent as a dove,

wise as a serpent and innocent as a dove.

Child Of The Living One

Note:

This is like a little digest of some of the verses that I have come to love from THE GOSPEL OF THOMAS.  I am paraphrasing to some extent, but I do believe the actual verses signify what I have written.  Enjoy as you will - and believe as you will too.  THE GOSPEL OF THOMAS features 114 verses.  If  you like the few verses (14) that are covered in my little lyrical digest via 11 verses in my song, you may like the entire Gospel of Thomas.   If so, I encourage you to check out the entire gospel.

       Good Luck!

Thanks!

Francis William Bessler

REFRAIN:

I'm a child of the Living One.

You are too; so, let's have fun.

We're all children of the light.

So, let us love each other

as we pass through life.

From Verse 3:

In the Gospel of Thomas,

Jesus said a long time ago,

know you are

a child of the Living One.

Well, My Friend,

I don't know about you,

but I'm gonna live

according to that truth.

Refrain.

From Verse 2:

Jesus said:

Do not cease seeking

until we find,

but if we're troubled,

pay it no mind.

We will marvel

at the majesty of life

and reign like queens & kings

in our new light.

Refrain.

From Verse 6:

Jesus was asked if we should fast

and what diet we should observe?

He said, do not lie

or do what you hate.

And that is the best way

you can serve.

Refrain.

From Verse 22:

Jesus said:

The Kingdom

is like the little children.

So to find the Kingdom,

we should be like them.

Make the inner like the outer

and the two as one -

and that's how you'll find

the real Kingdom.

Refrain.

From Verse 33:

Jesus said:

Put your light upon a stand

so all can see what you recommend.

No one should hide

by covering themselves.

Be proud of what you are

to find your truth, my friend.

Refrain.

From Verses 36 & 37:

Jesus said:

Take no thought at all

for what you put on

and acclaim the life

you've been given.

Take off your clothes

and live without shame

to know you belong

as a saint in Heaven

Refrain.

From Verses 41 & 43:

Jesus said:

We should become passersby,

though we should love our lives

as we pass by.

We should love the tree,

but also love its fruit

if Heaven on Earth we are to find.

Refrain.

From Verse 63:

Jesus told a story about a rich man

who believed his riches

would always satisfy.

That's what he thought in his heart,

but that night he died

and lost it all behind.

Refrain.

From Verse 70:

Jesus said:

If you bring forth that within,

that which you have will save you.

But if you do not bring forth

from within,

you'll live your life

never finding truth.

Refrain.

From Verses 81 & 90:

Jesus said:

Come to me for easy is my yoke -

and you'll find repose for yourself.

But to follow me,

you must renounce all power

because power involves

commanding someone else.

Refrain.

From Verse 113:

Jesus was asked:

When will the Kingdom come?

He said:

It will not come by expectation.

The Kingdom

is spread upon the Earth

but men do not see it,

serving various nations.

Refrain (multiple times).

FINISH:

We're all children of the light.

So, let us love each other

as we pass through life.

Yes,

We're all children of the light.

So, let us love each other

as we pass through life.

August 24th and 28th, 2017

(First verse written August 24th,

Second verse written August 28th)

I'm here on Mother Earth

and I'm so glad that I am here.

I'm here on Mother Earth

to find the life I have is dear.

All I have to do is look at life

with opened eyes and heart

and know that if I do that,

it's the best way for me to start;

and as I start, I will continue on

and always love the life I own.

For sure, no matter where I go,

where I go will always be home.

It's not for me to think that Paradise

can only be found in some far-away land.

If God is truly everywhere, as I Believe,

then Paradise must always be at hand.

So let me go out a current front door

and wander where I will

and know that what I find will be Paradise

whether the weather is stormy or still.

I know not how life has come

or how it may eventually go.

But no matter how it comes or goes,

I know I will always be at home.

With A Song

In My Heart

By

Francis William Bessler

9/26/2017

REFRAIN:

With a song in my heart,

I want to be part

of this wonderful, wonderful day.

With a song in my heart,

it's a nice way to start

as I wander along my way.

Hey, My Friends, I'm still learnin

as I wander upon this Earth.

Hey, My Friends, I'm still yearnin

for truth

as if yesterday was my birth.

Refrain.

Oh, what a delight I'm living

knowing that all is Divine.

Oh, what wonders I'm musing

and loving

embracing the Heaven that is mine.

Refrain.

Let me look at life like ole David,

standing there with nothing on

Believing that life is splendid

as it is

and as gracious as a new born fawn.

Refrain.

Listen, Dear One, you're the only you

as I am the only me.

Let us proceed with a different view

than before

Celebrating Life's Mystery.

Refrain.

ENDING REFRAIN:

With a song in my heart,

I want to be part

of this wonderful, wonderful day.

With a song in my heart,

it's a nice way to start

as I wander along my way.

Yes - with a song in my heart.

it's a nice way to start

- and continue and end -

as I wander along my way -

as I wander along my way.
