Hello, Everyone!
It is day 559 of the Trump Administration - if I am not mistaken. I am given to believe by various news commentary shows that it is unlikely that Bob Mueller will report on his investigation into the "shenanigans" of Mr. Trump in the 2016 presidential election - after Sept 1 - in order to not interfere with Fall elections. Reasonably, then, that leaves only this month for Mueller to report or indict more than he already has - if he is going to do so before the Fall elections. In that light, I am sure that President Trump is getting madder and madder about the possibility of his shenanigans being exposed by the end of August. From where I sit, I have little doubt that the Trump Campaign colluded with Russians - and maybe even with the Russian Government - to win in 2016; but the jury is still out on just how much. I do expect some greater tale in that regard by the end of August in order to not extend into September, but time will tell. Right?
From where I sit, however, I cannot imagine anyone considering it proper to enlist aid from foreigners in an American election. In the past, such "shenanigans" would have been considered "treasonous," to say the least, but for sure things have changed. Indeed, we are much more international oriented now than we used to be - and I suppose one could consider using a foreign entity to support a domestic campaign is just fine. I think of it like being on the unfair side, much like dark money being allowed to support a candidacy is now. Comparison wise, I suppose the allowance of dark money from a domestic source is no more or less worse than getting help from a foreign source; but both interference by a foreign source and unbridled campaign financing should be outlawed. How either of those "aids" can be considered fair is beyond me! What will the Mueller Probe report? By the end of August, we may know.
