HAPPY FATHER'S DAY - 2018!
6/17/2018

Hello, Everyone!

Just to take a moment to wish all of us fathers a HAPPY FATHER'S DAY, but to offer a bit of a comment about the most important "Father" of All - GOD!  As I was telling my wife, Nancy, a few minutes ago, when I think of "Father's Day," I think mostly of God - simply because I think I am a "son of God" like you are a "daughter of God" if you are a girl.

I guess you could say that I am different sort of Christian in that I do not believe that Jesus was - or is - an "Only Son of God."  I think we have had that wrong from the very beginning; and it is a rather horrible wrong too.  By making Jesus the "Only Son of God," we have ignored our own child of God status.  I Believe that Jesus came to teach that all are children of God and there is no such thing as an "only son of God," but Jesus was made a different kind of son of God simply because mankind needed to believe in gods for lack of belief in self-worth - and so they made Jesus a god.  That is too bad because by doing so, we have undermined our own status of being children of God.

In truth, when we "praise Jesus," we should be "praising ourselves" - simply because we should be recognizing that we are ones like Jesus as being "sons of God."  I don't think the real Jesus would like it at all if he were here in our presence and we shouted out "Praise Jesus!" while claiming ourselves as lacking equal worth.  The Jesus I know would say, "Francis, my brother, do not praise me without also praising yourself - simply because as I am, you are."  I am 99 % sure of that.  But I think I am sure of that because I recognize myself as being a "son of God" and I recognize God as "my Father."

No, God did not make me or create me.  My natural parents "made my body," but Dad & Mom would not have been able to "create me" if there had been no Infinity or God to allow it.  My wife and I "made a daughter" too just like I was made, but my daughter first has God as a Father in that if God did not exist, nothing could.

So, it is pretty simple for me.  Jesus and I are equally "sons of God" simply because it is impossible that we are not.  We all depend on God for our primary existence in general, even though each of us has a "secondary" explanation for coming into life too; but the real important thing for me is to take note that God is my Primary Father - or Parent, if you choose.  So when I say, HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!, I think mostly of God; and that makes me a lad full of  joy for the gratitude I feel for being so.

So, HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!  I highly recommend being mindful that we are all the same.  We are all equal children of God!  If you want to be joyful in your life, think of that - and make every day a FATHER'S DAY, saying thanks for the life you have.  OK?  And, Yes, you can quote me on that if you like.  Let me finish with a song I wrote a few years ago called SON OF GOD.  Oh, how simple it is, if only we would take a moment to think now and then - and not assume that what "was written" is somehow automatically the truth.  Believe me, it isn't!  For one, the Apostle Paul had it completed wrong when he uttered his great nonsense that "all fall short of the glory of God."  Tell me, my friends, how in the world can we be "short of the glory of God" if we are "full of God"?  What nonsense!  But that nonsense has ruled the day because it "was written" by someone others believe "knew Jesus."  I don't think so.  I will leave you with a song Paul could have never written - simply because he did not believe in self-worth.

Thanks!

SON OF GOD

REFRAIN:

I am a son of God –

and you are too.

Even if you are a girl –

we share the same truth. – for male

Even though I am a girl –

I share the same truth. – for female

For God is not a Father –

that belongs to only some.

More correctly, God’s a Mother –

that nourishes everyone.

I don’t think God’s a moral one.

It’s simply the energy for us all.

It’s up to each to choose our bonds;

but we’ll inherit what we install.

Refrain.

I can be kind or I can be cruel.

It doesn’t matter at all to God;

but it matters to me and I’d be a fool

to choose a path of pain to trod.

Refrain.

Some think God’s a person like us –

outside – to choose what he might like;

but the God I see and the God I trust

is part of all and in all is inside.

Refrain.

God’s not apart as we might believe,

but it’s for each of us to realize

that wherever we go and whatever we breathe

is filled with the Divine.

Refrain.

Some think that there’s a Heaven to come.

Well, I’m convinced that is the truth;

but Heaven’s only knowing we’re all God’s sons.

So, I’m in Heaven right now too.

Refrain (2).
