Thanks, Pope Francis - for coming to America!
9/27/2015

Hello, Everyone!

My companion, Nancy Shaw, and I have really been enjoying TV coverage of Pope Francis to the U.S. - mostly on CNN.  How about  you?  I think it is really refreshing to have someone talk about faith without insisting on pressuring others to fall in line.  I must say I am really proud of Pope Francis - even though I am no longer Catholic and have not been for over 40 years.  Perhaps it is in part that I am no longer Catholic that I find myself absolutely enthralled with one of my former faith, but the truth is, I am enjoying the visit of Pope Francis a whole lot and I hope others of you are too - be you Catholic or otherwise.

As it is, this will be the last day of Pope Francis's visit to America - and it may well coincide with my last day of edit changes to my final (and 5th) book - LOVING EVERYTHING - too.  Of course, it is always possible that what I think of as "final edit changes" I am requesting today of my publisher - Create Space - may turn out to be not enough; but even if an additional change or two is needed, hey, I am still ALMOST DONE!

Actually, I made my final change yesterday - the 81st birthday of my dear sister, Helen - and only today made a final review and passed along the new manuscript to Create Space.  Today is the 72nd birthday of one very dear to me, my 3rd wife, Anne - who passed from liver problems in July of 2013.  Anne and I did not make a good husband and wife because she was an atheist and I am what I call a "Divine Naturist" or "Holistic Christian," but we parted as friends in 2001 and remained so till her passing in 2013.  I can't be Catholic either because I do not even believe in inherited sin, but that does not stop me from loving Pope Francis.

So, here is to both my dear departed wife, Anne, and a wonderful leader of faith, Pope Francis!  At least at this point on this day, I am dedicating LOVING EVERYTHING to the two of them.

Be in touch as you wish!

Gently,

Francis William Bessler

p.s.  Yesterday I added a verse to a song included in LOVING EVERYTHING.  I will feature the whole song below.  Enjoy it as you will - and can.

Thanks!  FWB

Peace On Earth

A song

by

Francis William Bessler

Laramie, Wyoming

7/31/2007; 4th verse added 9/26/2015

REFRAIN:

There can be Peace on Earth –

for all the world to see.

There can be Peace on Earth –

but it must begin with me.

There’ll be Peace on Earth –

when we all see Divinity.

But there can be no peace –

without me.

What is peace, my friends?

It’s knowing that you belong

and it’s knowing that we’re all the same.

That is peace, my friends

as we’re singing in this song;

and it’s not holding anyone to blame.

Refrain.

What is peace, my friends?

It’s loving what we are

and it’s knowing that all life is a gift.

That is peace, my friends

and if we’re ever to stop war,

we must believe that all life is blessed.

Refrain.

 What is peace, my friends?

It’s failure to hold a grudge

and it’s forgiving to be forgiven.

That is peace, my friends

and it’s the only way to judge

our way into that lovely state of Heaven.

Refrain

What is peace, my friends?

It's knowing all Creation is right;

and it's knowing everything is good.

That is peace, my friends

and if we're ever to live in the light,

we must realize all's one big Brotherhood.

Refrain (several times).
